Jack, Heather, Keelyn, Ryley, Delaney and Addy. We are a family of 6. 4 girls, Jack and I. We live in a beautiful house built in 1850 in Milford, NH. Most days I feel very blessed with 4 healthy children.. There are a few days where I pray to God to let us get through the day...

Posting continues....
I should have .. I shouldda... well, here is the "rest" of happenings since Ryley's 8th birthday.
The next BIG news following Ryley's b-day was an addition to the Flynn household.. Bay (short for Bayonne) the cocka-poo puppy! Here are some photos of the night he arrived!

Next was DELANEY'S 5th BIRTHDAY!!! WOW!!!.. we celebrated her b-day 10 days late due to Jack traveling.. but I took all the girls to dinner on her actual b-day... here's an adorable picture I took of her:
.JPG)
She's been asking for almost 1 year to have her birthday at Jump on In. She invited all the girls from her class, our neighbors and a few other friends. She had an absolute BLAST. Lots of fun! Here are some pictures from that.
On our way:

the favors:

Had lots of fun! Happy Birthday my little "meem"!
Back in February, Keelyn tried out for the Wizard of Oz play put on by the Riverbend Youth Performance Company. She got the part of Teacher #1, (A MUNCHKIN). There were so many kids who tried out for the play they have almost 2 full casts. Keelyn is on the BLUE cast. The performances she is in start the weekend of May 14, 15 @ 7:30 the following weekend she will be in the 1:00 performances on May 22 & 23rd. She is so excited!
Delaney was signed up for 2 swim sessions over the Winter at the Nashua YMCA. She enjoyed hanging with her best bud Abbie and learning how to swim. Unfortunately, it was just a BAD time for us (4:45pm) - so she is starting a new swim program this Tuesday at Hampshire Hills.. 1:00. Much better time frame as the older girls dreaded going to swim lessons.
On another Delaney note.. she had FOR THE SECOND time.. pneumonia in February! Poor kid.. Flu back in October, missed Halloween, pneumonia in Feb., and just THIS week - school vacation week... she was crawling across our wooden table outside.. got a huge splinter in her knee, I tried to pull it out and only the piece protruding from her skin came out. So after trying for about 1/2 hr. with her screaming as loud as she could, I decided to wait and bring her to the dr. the next day (Tuesday). I bring her in.. he looks at it and says "I think she will need to see a surgeon, it is too deep for me to pull out with tweezers". They make an appt. for the surgeon at 1:30 that afternoon. When the surgeon looks at it, she tells me it is too deep and would be too traumatic to try to get out in the office (she said I would basically be holding down my screaming child as she gave her Novocaine in her knee and tried to extract it).. Sooooooo... we end up in the operating room the next morning!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience! I don't know how any parent with a chronically ill child can go through the task of sitting with a screaming child as an anesthesiologist gives them gas to put them to sleep. I almost think it would have been just as traumatic if we removed it in the office. Poor Delaney screamed and cried and fought for a good minute and a half before she finally fell asleep. I cried and cried!!! The surgeon came out 5 minutes later and said it came out - she's fine - she's waking up. WHEW!!!!! finally .. after waiting the longest 10 minutes of my LIFE, they allowed me back into the day surgery room to give her a HUGE hug. UGH.. they wouldn't give me the splinter (YES I ASKED!) because the damn thing cost us almost $300 in copayments! Here is a day after surgery picture.. healing very nicely...

the coloring on her knee was a smiley face the surgeon asked her to draw...
Lastly.... while Jack was traveling a few weeks ago, I got up around 6:45, looked out the front window, and saw my Ally cat with another strange cat. I went out there because the cat had a collar and tag, which I thought odd if it was an outdoor cat. I look at the tag which reads "BIG REWARD - 39 Amherst St - and a phone #). I picked up the cat to bring him in to call the #.. and the DAMN CAT ATTACKED ME!!!!!! Here's the damage..

One last picture I have to post.. Delaney took this.. every time I sit on the couch the dog has to be right next to me... or ON ME..

Silly picture...

Holy Cannoli! 2 months have passed!
I thought I would make it a New Years resolution to write more, but, with Facebook in competition with social networking, I find myself updating that more. So, let's see.. since I've last written.. Ryley had her 8th birthday! WOW! Once again, we celebrated at Hampshire Hills with a MIDDLE OF THE WINTER pool party. Nice and small group of girls... here are a few photos.

1st post for TWENTY TEN
Did I say it correctly? (or spell)? I wonder why it is more important to say Twenty Ten instead of Two Thousand Ten?? To-mato To-MAHHH-toe
This week has been another A-typical one... started off a typical Tuesday morning, while I was getting my make up on, I realized DAMN!!! I just used the WRONG eyeliner.. the one I used and FORGOT TO THROW AWAY when I had conjunctivitis that last time. So guess how Wednesday morning went... yep.. once again, for the third time in a month +, conjunctivitis. At least I was "prepared" and had put my antibiotic drops in Tuesday night so it wasn't THAT bad Wed. morning. Also, Delaney has had this horrible cough for weeks... at least 3. Tuesday night, I ran out for a little bit and when I came home, she was burning up - she had a 102 temp. I took her to the Dr. on Wed... SHE'S got pneumonia :-(. My poor baby.. twice in 2 years. At least this time, it seems more like "walking" pneumonia where she is active and not laying on the couch. Her fever's been down, so I'm glad I took her in. The good news.. TODAY IS FRIDAY and this week is OVER! Keelyn and Ryley took their weekly ski/snowboard lesson today. They enjoyed it, and were THRILLED to have "dinner" in the lodge.
Hmmm.. going back a few weeks. We spent New Years Eve with our good friends the Porters. Had a nice low key night.. Chinese, movies, good conversation and laughs.
I've been wanting to post this video.. I just love it. I took it when we were in Disney at Epcot. Delaney is making music with the movement of her hand. You can see the little character on the screen in front of her is moving with her hand movements.
Well, I have 2 sleeping kids at 7:30 on a Friday night.. funny how my first thought is "wow, I should go to sleep".. I'm gettin' OLD!! A quick thought passed through my head after that of when T and I would be "primping" it up getting ready to head into Boston by around 9'ish. WOW...

CHRISTMAS
It doesn't seem like a week ago we were in FL! This week has flown by, and I am proud to say I NEVER hit a mall this whole Christmas season! I would be even prouder if I said Disney WAS the Christmas gift. I couldn't imagine NOTHING under the Christmas tree on Christmas day.. so we did buy a "few" things. On the top of the list was "ZHU ZHU's!" I am lucky to have a cousin as ADD and neurotic as I am who was on a Zhu Zhu mission. We pretty much have almost the whole Zhu Zhu set. Here is a picture of the whole set up.

The girls seem to thoroughly enjoy playing with these "faux" hamsters.. Funny, as they don't care very much for their poor guinea pig!
Keelyn and Ryley received a Nintendo DSi for Christmas, nice, as they played with them all day long. Delaney LOVED playing with her Little Tikes workshop.. and Addy, sat on the kitchen floor most of the day playing with everyone's Zhu Zhu's.
I made a butterflied leg of lamb, that, KUDOS to ME, came out FANTASTIC! We all sat and had dinner, now the crew is watching the Polar Express.
Speaking of... we, once again, won tickets for the Polar Express. We headed off on our journey to the North Pole on Sat. Dec. 5th. And, once again, IT SNOWED!!!! It was so magical! It snowed last year too! The girls loved it and we were joined by our good friends the Porters. (Keelyn's "boyfriends" family) boy, we LOVE them!
We were home for a week after that (Jack was in Calgary BC) so I was not able to QUITE complain of the FREEZING cold, snowy weather we were having as it was -25 where he was!.. BUT, we DID get about 8" of cement like snow that I HAD to shovel.
Sat. Dec. 12th came and as we awaited Jack's arrival, we packed and were READY TO GO! It was so cold here anything warmer than 15 degrees sounded WONDERFUL!
We arrived in Orlando, FL, on Sat. Dec. 12th, at midnight. Got our car and headed right to our place. Sunday was absolutely GORGEOUS. The weather was a WARM 82 degrees and we were at the pool ALL DAY. (1 of 7 pools on the resort!)
Monday the 14th we headed over to Hollywood Studios. A very FULL day. Although I feel that most of our days at Disney were FILLED, we still missed LOTS of rides and shows! It is NO "vacation" to vacation in Disney. You are constantly ON THE GO.. NO REST for the weary!
Tuesday we hung around for 1/2 the day at the pool. Made some friends from Winnipeg, Canada. Then off to the very Merry Mickey Parade at Magic Kingdom. Once the "deadline" came for the people who bought day passes PASSED, it quieted down. We were able to get on rides with NO wait. I do think the cost of the tickets for the "special" parade was QUITE excessive! The parade was nice, but I've seen the electric parade and I think the "enchantment" was about the same.
Wednesday, we headed to Animal Kingdom. They close early, so we spent the whole day there, until 5 pm. The girls really enjoyed seeing all the animals. Unfortunately, they didn't get to ride on the Everest roller-coaster since it was a 60 minute wait. Plus, I think it would have been pretty scary for Keelyn and Ryley anyway.
Thursday, we just hung around. It was somewhat overcast.
Friday, we hung around in the morning, I think a bit burnt out from the 1st 1/2 of the week. We went to Epcot around 2:30.. stayed until 5:30'ish. The girls didn't seem very thrilled with Epcot, as it was raining and we didn't do too much. At the end they were able to get on the ride "Spaceship Earth", which they seemed to enjoy.
All in all, I'm glad we took the girls. I think we tried to do too many things in 1 week. If you have young kids, you really need 1 1/2 days at each park. We definitely missed things, which I hope someday we will get to see when everyone is a little older.
here are some of my favorite pictures...

I have some great video's, but I think they are too big to upload, I'll check it out.
