Jack, Heather, Keelyn, Ryley, Delaney and Addy. We are a family of 6. 4 girls, Jack and I. We live in a beautiful house built in 1850 in Milford, NH. Most days I feel very blessed with 4 healthy children.. There are a few days where I pray to God to let us get through the day...

We got a new PET....

And his name is ... CLAUDE!

here he is:

Keelyn's piano teacher couldn't keep him. Don't know why? ;-) maybe because she's pregnant with her 5th! child! :-) So we picked him up last week and it's working out.. although his is a stinky little critter. We have to clean his cage every other day.

On another note, little Miss Addy has come down with DOUBLE ear infections :-( Poor little thing! She's had cold symptoms for 2 weeks and I decided to take her to the dr. yesterday.. and sure enough.. she's sick! I think her antibiotics are starting to kick in .. she's been talking up a storm at the dinner table!! She sure is a cute-e-pie! I love that sweet ear to ear smile she gives me. Little angle face, I call her!

Since the last post, we got to see Auntie T, Scott and Brighton. I can't believe that little guy is 1 already!!! Before you know it his little brother will be here!!! It was great to see them yet, sad too, because it made me just wish we were closer. The girls had a lot of fun.. and every time we see an ELMO, Delaney says "Brighton would like this". awww!

Here is a picture of them all together:

It was tooooo funny, the hotel they were staying in, there was a Bar Mitzvah.. so the girls decided after the party they wanted to RANSACK the place.. they found LOTS of BLING.. check them out:

Can you say.. 2.. 1 HOLMES :-)

well, now, it is getting to be bedtime.. Addy needs some dinner before she is off to bed, so I better try to finish this in the morning! Enjoy!

We're Home, I survived, Delaney's 3!!

Well, we did it! Took a family PLANE ride, and SURVIVED! California.. hmmm... love it, hate it. Love the gorgeous beautiful WARM weather! Hate the "get on the highway, drive 85 MPH, and get to your destination" attitude. Driving with 4 kids in the car on the highway was pretty intimidating, but finally after the 1st week was over, I felt a little more comfortable and we enjoyed exploring!

Here is a synopsis of our vacation. Arrived late Tuesday night. Jack went to work Wed. We first went grocery shopping. Then we collected snails, visited the pool, hot tub and checked out the grounds.

Wednesday afternoon, Jack got our of work somewhat early, so we headed off to La Jolla (pronounced LA-HOYA). It was a surprise for the girls as there are lots of seals that just sit on the beach.. it was very cool!! Check out the pictures!

We even saw someone getting married!

Pretty much repeated the day (except for the grocery shopping) Thursday. (Good) Friday we were off the the ZOO.. only one problem.. I wrote down the WRONG directions and we ended up at Wild Animal Park. We decided to head back and make it to the Zoo. Which by the time we got there it was pretty packed, but we made the best of it... boy o boy, that place is HUGE! Definitely not a place you can leisurely walk around with 4 kids and see the whole place. We saw maybe 2/3's :-(

We TRIED to go to dinner after a LONG day at the Zoo, it didn't work out too well when we were finally seated (after the 45 minute wait), but here is a great picture of the girls!

Saturday, we hit Sea World. We arranged to have breakfast with "Shamu", we all thoroughly enjoyed that! Check out how close the whale really was! It was amazing!

After a ride on the skyride I got a great shot of the girls with Jack.

Sunday, we PLANNED on going to Wild Animal Kingdom but with all the walking around we did the past 2 days, we didn't have it in us. The girls were happy to go to Mission Bay park which is a long long area of a bike path and several playgrounds as well as lots of green grass. They were happy just to hang out at the playground, play on the structures and take a great photo with Daddy!

Monday Jack was back to it and we decided it was time to go explore. We went to Torrey Pines Beach... hmmm... something to be said about that.. I saw a furry creature running around in the brush, we got to the water and there were 2 signs.. one read something to the effect "please don't remove shoes as there could be harmful items in the sand" below that was a sign reading "high bacteria levels, swimming is NOT recommended". We decided to leave, and hit the pool back at the hotel!

Tuesday we ventured a little more north. We ended up at Solana Beach.. a step up from the last place, but still kind of yucky sand and the same sign about the bacteria in the water! Girls still had fun running around in the sand getting their feet wet!

Wednesday we went even further NORTH... we hit Carlsbad.. first we went to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets.. boy! those people have money! I hit the Gap and got some great deals, but that didn't compare to many of the other stores! Then off to the Carlsbad beach.. and it was even better then Solana! There was some DRY sand, more people and just a better beach. Nothing compared to the Jersey Shore, but decent.. I'd sit there with my family for the day. I got a great picture of the girls on the rocks that separated the beach.

We had a wonderful dinner with my cousin Michelle and her fiance Frank. We went to LITTLE ITALY!!! Delaney slept through the whole dinner, Adyson was sitting with me and was super well behaved, the girls and Jack sat at the other end of the table. We went to Filippi's Pizza Grotto, http://www.realcheesepizza.com/web/home/index.html
I was imagining some pizza joint, but I was pleasantly surprised! They had incredible food! I got eggplant parm. and it was fantastic. What was even better, Michelle & Frank put our names in before we got there (there is ALWAYS a HUGE line there to eat) so when Jack the girls and I arrived, we were escorted through the crowd to our awaiting table! YAH!!!!

By Thursday we once again, got sick and tired of running around so we stayed and hung out at the pool. I could tell the girls had enough when THEY were asking to go back to the room!

Friday we did all the laundry, packed up and were out of the hotel by 12:30.... whew! that was a tough morning. We had to wait for Jack so at first we figured we'd explore "just a little more" and after a FEW hours had passed.. we called and told him we would wait on the grounds of the office he was working at. Here is where we hung out.. incredible huh? The grounds included a lap pool, kiddie pool (I assume for the child labor?? hahahaha), a SAND volley ball court, basketball courts, and tennis courts. All surrounded by botanical gardens! It was truly amazing! here is where we waited for him.

We were at the airport 3 hours early, THANK GOD.. you have to be with 4 kids. Plenty of time. The flight home was 4 hours 40 minutes .. we arrived in Boston sometime shortly after 5 AM, and arrived HOME by 7:30 AM. Sunday.. I was the first one up at 9:51 AM! WOW.. lots of fun. I'm glad we were able to join Jack. We all really enjoyed to time together. We're glad to be home though.

OH! I almost forgot! One more important milestone happened while in CA... check it out!

This past weekend we CELEBRATED DELANEY'S 3RD BIRTHDAY! That sweet sweet little angel! Here is a picture of her in her birthday outfit.. I'm sure you can figure out the theme:

Uncle Michael, Aunt Julie and the boys came to visit which was nice for all the cousins to hang out for the party! There were many comments on how well behaved those boys are! (I hope you're proud Julie!!) Delaney really loves Liam (and Colin) but she kept doing things (drawing pictures, making things) and saying "that's for Liam" Cutie pie!

FINALLY today, Monday, Delaney's "real" birthday. We're getting back into the swing of things. Jack was able to work from home today which was nice because we grilled out for dinner then had a nice little ice cream cake for Delaney. Dinner was over by 6:00 PM which is a rarity! Delaney and Adyson were bathed and everyone was in bed by 8:00! NICE.. whew.. well, I'm sure you're getting tired of reading and I'm getting tired of writing and inserting photos. SO, until next time "Friend". :-)

CALIFORNIA.. here we come..

We're off to San Diego on Tuesday! I'm excited and anxious. Girls are thrilled. We all can't wait to see the zoo, animal kingdom and Sea World. Delaney keeps saying "when are we going to SEE DIEGO".. ha ha ha, in her little mind she thinks we're going to see Dora's friend Diego! awww..

Life has been completely insane lately. Poor Adyson has been sick for the last few days.. and even though she is not crying constantly, she is running, coughing and sneezing. Benedryl and Motrin have worked, but I hate to keep giving her medicine around the clock. Nightime has been BAD. Basically, Wednesday night she fell asleep after her dose of Benedryl at 9:00...slept for 1 1/2 hours and was up until after 2:00 am when I finally gave her a dose of Motrin which helped her fall asleep again. Pretty much the same last night.. a small stretch of sleep in the beginning, then up for quite a while.. coughing, sneezing and boogers! I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday!

Keelyn had her last ski lesson last Friday. Boy, she is a natural! She loves it and she's great at it! I wish I was able to take her more often, she is very independent. Takes the ski lift up by herself. I have a photo I'll post if I can get it off my email.

here she is coming down the mountain!

Last weekend, one of Keelyns requirements for Brownies was that she spends 4 hours selling Girl Scout cookies - here she is for her first 2 hour stint! She had a blast.. although I was numb to the bone as the wind was FREEZING and it was about 30 degrees.

We just bought a new digital camera and we got some deal through Shutterfly where they will print a hardcover photo book for FREE. I can't wait to get some great photos in San Diego and make a cool memorable scrapbook.

Well, I better run. Ryley was lucky to join her friend Sophi to go see HORTON HEARS A WHO! So we're waiting for her to come home.

Wish me LUCK oe the PLANE ride!!!

The SNOW-Pillar and 1/2 Igloo

We tried to be creative.. I wish I had that snow spray .. THEN we really would have had a SNOW-Pillar!

Then we tried to make an igloo.. but it kind of caved in. The snowman liked it!

SCHOOL VACATION!

We started school vacation week off with GLOW BOWLING! Ryley ROCKS! She won! Delaney and Keelyn had a blast until about 5 minutes before we finished, then the lost interest. What caught their eye.. was DIPPIN DOTS Ice Cream. (until I found out it was $3 per container). I bought 1 and had them split it. Pretty hard when they put the spoon at the BOTTOM frozen into the ice cream. Here is a picture of Ryley doing her magic!

not the best photo, taken from my cell, but you get the idea.

Today was a clean up day... change sheets, organize things that I'm getting rid of. I may post my queen bed on Craigslist.... although I hate the idea of getting rid of it, as one day I'd really like to have a house that accommodates ALL our children and have room for a SPARE bedroom. I never realized how many sheet sets I've accumulated for that bed!

Tomorrow.. we're off to CHUCK-E-CHEESE! Plan to be there for 9:00 Am as it gets INSANE by about 10:30.. just in time to LEAVE :-).

I think the rest of the week, is hitting the gym on Thurs., then taking it easy.. maybe renting movies for Friday. That'll be our "cool" February vacation!

Jack just told me today he has to go to San Diego the end of March and thought it would be a great idea to make a vacation out of it. I'd love love love to see that San Diego ZOO! Betcha the girls would love it too. We'll see how that pans out.

Last week we enjoyed a visit from Uncle Mike and Aunt Julie and the boys. Although there were many germs festering in this house.. the kids all seemed to love hanging out together. We built a snowman, which was lots of fun. By the end of the day Delaney was super sleepy! Check out the pictures!

Well, I'm being called upon to serve ice cream for desert! They kiddo's have been waiting patiently! Better run!

Another Snow Day?

Well we are eagerly anticipating a snow day tomorrow. Everyone is feeling a little under the weather, and I'd like to just stay put and vacuum and dust (and NAP if that is a possibility)!

Delaney got her NEW bed! It is a day trundle bed and she loves it! So do her sisters who have slept in it since the day we put it together! Her bedroom has lots more room now.. we just need to get a rug to make it complete.

The girls and I attended a birthday party on Sunday night and it was lots of fun... here is a photo of when we got home with Daddy.. :-)

We've been reminiscing this week watching old home movies of when we just had 1 little one then 2 little ones..etc The girls love seeing themselves at Adysons age.

My friend Susie was brave enough to invite the Flynn clan to dinner on Sat. night. It was lots of fun! Good food. The kids had a blast, they don't get together much anymore, but picked up right where they left off last. It was great to see y'all!

We had our tax appt. on Sat. too funny. The GRAND plans I have in my head as opposed to what Jack would like to do with our refund $$. Wonder what will come of a middle of the road plan.

Uncle Mike and UNCLE Julie (per Ryley.. LOVE YOU KIDDO!) and the boys are coming to visit this weekend! I'm hoping we find a great house for them, so they can move up here by the Spring. Lots of nice houses on the market.

Well, I have a hungry baby and 3 kids in the tub.. so I better get to the bedtime routine.
