Jack, Heather, Keelyn, Ryley, Delaney and Addy. We are a family of 6. 4 girls, Jack and I. We live in a beautiful house built in 1850 in Milford, NH. Most days I feel very blessed with 4 healthy children.. There are a few days where I pray to God to let us get through the day...

My OTHER Baby IS GROWN Up

Tell me this doesn't pull on your heartstrings!!!

Keelyn had her piano/voice recital last night. This video was taken from our little camera, so once Jack puts a better version on youtube (from the video camera) - I'll update with the whole song and piano playing. Boy, I am so proud of that GIRL! I would NEVER have been able to stand in front of others to sing at age 7!

My Baby's Growing UP!

I can't believe 1 week from today Adyson will be 8 months old. She is learning so much and loves just observing everyone. Mostly her big sisters. Today she learned something new and we're all so very proud to teach her, since it is perfect timing for Keelyn's piano/voice recital tomorrow. Check her out:

Boy oh Boy.... Last week excitement & Ry on the Wii

Well, we survived last week... the week from hell!

Jack was at Lockheed Martin on "special" assignment. Unavailable by cell - Ryley thought it was o.k. to flush the roll of toilet paper that fell into the toilet, which left us without a toilet upstairs for 3 days. Both girls had a terrible dentist visit.. Keelyn needs a tooth pulled (tomorrow), has a abscess on her gums, Ryley's mouth is full of cavities! I became delirious (more than usual) Thursday ended up at the Dr. with double ear infections!! I don't know if it is the ear infections or medication but my head still spins in circles throughout the day! Hmmmm.. what else went wrong? Jack's train was canceled - BUT luckily he hopped the next Acela to get home in time to take his first born the the "Me & My Guy Dance".. Check out the photos! I'm a proud mama!

I just love this!!: (please ignore the smoke alarm going off... I was just cooking dinner) :-)

Delaney had HER 1st dentist appt. today and she has PERFECT teeth! (THANK GOD!!!) NO CAVITIES!!! (THANK GOD!!!) She was so good! Delaney is enjoying her SHAKE, RATTLE and ROLL class she takes at Hampshire Hills on Mondays. Lots of running around, laughing, playing with balls & bubbles and tumbling all over! AND!!!... TOMORROW IS 2 WEEKS WITHOUT BRRRRUP BRRRRUP! She still asks for it.. and I saw her jones(ing) for Addy's "paci".. but we're getting through it!

Addy is learning to sip from a straw, it is too funny!

We had dinner with the Kandt's on Saturday night. It was fun.. nice to catch up with Susie and Jeff and for the kids to hang out - boy, Henry is really grown(s) up ;-)

Well, wish Keelyn luck tomorrow with her tooth pulling!

Better get to putting laundry away!

Day 4

For those of you who are familiar with the "BRRRRUP" aka pacifier.. today is Delaney's 4th day WITHOUT it! She is having a HARD time, BUT the "brrrup" fairy came on Wednesday night, while she was sleeping, took her pacifier and left her $10 to BUY a WEBKINZ! We went to the store and spent $18 (including her PENGUIN Webkinz) and they extended a promotion they were having from last weekend and ALL 3 GIRLS got ANOTHER FREE WEBKINZ. Keelyn and Ryley got one last weekend (free). So, the few times during the day there is crying or asking for the pacifier.. we find the Webkinz to distract her. Poor kid! Better NOW than later though.

Nothing much is new .. we had a fun night last night .. PRE-Cinco De Mayo party at the Apovians. Good times.. lots of laughs! AND.. YUMMY food AND margaritas!

Grampi has been here on and off over the past week (+) - Jack's office in the garage is getting closer and closer to complete. Can't wait for that.. I'm wondering WHAT we'll do with the space in the attic???? My thoughts for the interim are a spare room for company.. then eventually the PLAYROOM! When we configure the stairs to be a little more kid friendly.

DAMN.. the weekend weather was a KILLER.. and NOW ... 6:15 PM.. the sun is starting to shine and the sky is getting BLUE.. :-( sad the kids vacation was mostly rained out. We were able to squeeze in some miniature golfing in the 50 degree overcast day! I, on the other hand, had a pretty productive week. Getting rid of things in the loft of the barn. OLD windows, screen doors, junk.... that hasn't been used and I posted on freecycle.. and it is GONE!!! WHEW! NOW, I can get to organizing the holiday tubs, clothing tubs and whatever else is left up there! I got myself some nice space.

Keelyn is getting pretty psyched for this coming up Friday.. it is ME & MY GUY dance put on through the Girl Scouts. Jack asked her today what she wants him to wear.. she said "NOT A SWEATSHIRT" hahahahaha! He said "you want me to wear a suit?" She was like "YEAH!!!!" Wish I was a FLY on the wall to see her smile on her face!

OH AND HOW THE HECK COULD I FORGET... WE... got a Wii.. :-)

We told Keelyn that we would buy a Wii for her birthday and she could invite a COUPLE of friends over (instead of a BIG TO DO) and they could have cake & ice cream and play Wii (and maybe inflate the water slide). I figured I'd start looking early since they are usually SOLD OUT. The 2 Thursday's I went to Walmart.. they said "nope, not today.. we had some YESTERDAY". So I thought .. well.. I'll have to go next Wednesday. Then I said "let's just try Target". I asked the kid in the electronics dept. and he was like "yes, we have 3 in stock".. I almost jumped him! He laughed when I was like "YOU DO??!?!?!?!?!?!" The smile on the girls faces was worth a million bucks! We've been playing everyday.... I played boxing that night.. for an HOUR (knocked out my opponent EVERY TIME :-).. Friday and Saturday... I WAS IN PAIN! My body was aching! Definitely a good workout! Lots of fun too. I highly recommend it!

My leg is getting NUMB from Adyson sleeping on my lap, and I have to pick up the girls (they are all at Awana - church group) Curious to see how Delaney is doing.. it is her first time.

Gotta RUN

We got a new PET....

And his name is ... CLAUDE!

here he is:

Keelyn's piano teacher couldn't keep him. Don't know why? ;-) maybe because she's pregnant with her 5th! child! :-) So we picked him up last week and it's working out.. although his is a stinky little critter. We have to clean his cage every other day.

On another note, little Miss Addy has come down with DOUBLE ear infections :-( Poor little thing! She's had cold symptoms for 2 weeks and I decided to take her to the dr. yesterday.. and sure enough.. she's sick! I think her antibiotics are starting to kick in .. she's been talking up a storm at the dinner table!! She sure is a cute-e-pie! I love that sweet ear to ear smile she gives me. Little angle face, I call her!

Since the last post, we got to see Auntie T, Scott and Brighton. I can't believe that little guy is 1 already!!! Before you know it his little brother will be here!!! It was great to see them yet, sad too, because it made me just wish we were closer. The girls had a lot of fun.. and every time we see an ELMO, Delaney says "Brighton would like this". awww!

Here is a picture of them all together:

It was tooooo funny, the hotel they were staying in, there was a Bar Mitzvah.. so the girls decided after the party they wanted to RANSACK the place.. they found LOTS of BLING.. check them out:

Can you say.. 2.. 1 HOLMES :-)

well, now, it is getting to be bedtime.. Addy needs some dinner before she is off to bed, so I better try to finish this in the morning! Enjoy!

We're Home, I survived, Delaney's 3!!

Well, we did it! Took a family PLANE ride, and SURVIVED! California.. hmmm... love it, hate it. Love the gorgeous beautiful WARM weather! Hate the "get on the highway, drive 85 MPH, and get to your destination" attitude. Driving with 4 kids in the car on the highway was pretty intimidating, but finally after the 1st week was over, I felt a little more comfortable and we enjoyed exploring!

Here is a synopsis of our vacation. Arrived late Tuesday night. Jack went to work Wed. We first went grocery shopping. Then we collected snails, visited the pool, hot tub and checked out the grounds.

Wednesday afternoon, Jack got our of work somewhat early, so we headed off to La Jolla (pronounced LA-HOYA). It was a surprise for the girls as there are lots of seals that just sit on the beach.. it was very cool!! Check out the pictures!

We even saw someone getting married!

Pretty much repeated the day (except for the grocery shopping) Thursday. (Good) Friday we were off the the ZOO.. only one problem.. I wrote down the WRONG directions and we ended up at Wild Animal Park. We decided to head back and make it to the Zoo. Which by the time we got there it was pretty packed, but we made the best of it... boy o boy, that place is HUGE! Definitely not a place you can leisurely walk around with 4 kids and see the whole place. We saw maybe 2/3's :-(

We TRIED to go to dinner after a LONG day at the Zoo, it didn't work out too well when we were finally seated (after the 45 minute wait), but here is a great picture of the girls!

Saturday, we hit Sea World. We arranged to have breakfast with "Shamu", we all thoroughly enjoyed that! Check out how close the whale really was! It was amazing!

After a ride on the skyride I got a great shot of the girls with Jack.

Sunday, we PLANNED on going to Wild Animal Kingdom but with all the walking around we did the past 2 days, we didn't have it in us. The girls were happy to go to Mission Bay park which is a long long area of a bike path and several playgrounds as well as lots of green grass. They were happy just to hang out at the playground, play on the structures and take a great photo with Daddy!

Monday Jack was back to it and we decided it was time to go explore. We went to Torrey Pines Beach... hmmm... something to be said about that.. I saw a furry creature running around in the brush, we got to the water and there were 2 signs.. one read something to the effect "please don't remove shoes as there could be harmful items in the sand" below that was a sign reading "high bacteria levels, swimming is NOT recommended". We decided to leave, and hit the pool back at the hotel!

Tuesday we ventured a little more north. We ended up at Solana Beach.. a step up from the last place, but still kind of yucky sand and the same sign about the bacteria in the water! Girls still had fun running around in the sand getting their feet wet!

Wednesday we went even further NORTH... we hit Carlsbad.. first we went to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets.. boy! those people have money! I hit the Gap and got some great deals, but that didn't compare to many of the other stores! Then off to the Carlsbad beach.. and it was even better then Solana! There was some DRY sand, more people and just a better beach. Nothing compared to the Jersey Shore, but decent.. I'd sit there with my family for the day. I got a great picture of the girls on the rocks that separated the beach.

We had a wonderful dinner with my cousin Michelle and her fiance Frank. We went to LITTLE ITALY!!! Delaney slept through the whole dinner, Adyson was sitting with me and was super well behaved, the girls and Jack sat at the other end of the table. We went to Filippi's Pizza Grotto, http://www.realcheesepizza.com/web/home/index.html
I was imagining some pizza joint, but I was pleasantly surprised! They had incredible food! I got eggplant parm. and it was fantastic. What was even better, Michelle & Frank put our names in before we got there (there is ALWAYS a HUGE line there to eat) so when Jack the girls and I arrived, we were escorted through the crowd to our awaiting table! YAH!!!!

By Thursday we once again, got sick and tired of running around so we stayed and hung out at the pool. I could tell the girls had enough when THEY were asking to go back to the room!

Friday we did all the laundry, packed up and were out of the hotel by 12:30.... whew! that was a tough morning. We had to wait for Jack so at first we figured we'd explore "just a little more" and after a FEW hours had passed.. we called and told him we would wait on the grounds of the office he was working at. Here is where we hung out.. incredible huh? The grounds included a lap pool, kiddie pool (I assume for the child labor?? hahahaha), a SAND volley ball court, basketball courts, and tennis courts. All surrounded by botanical gardens! It was truly amazing! here is where we waited for him.

We were at the airport 3 hours early, THANK GOD.. you have to be with 4 kids. Plenty of time. The flight home was 4 hours 40 minutes .. we arrived in Boston sometime shortly after 5 AM, and arrived HOME by 7:30 AM. Sunday.. I was the first one up at 9:51 AM! WOW.. lots of fun. I'm glad we were able to join Jack. We all really enjoyed to time together. We're glad to be home though.

OH! I almost forgot! One more important milestone happened while in CA... check it out!

This past weekend we CELEBRATED DELANEY'S 3RD BIRTHDAY! That sweet sweet little angel! Here is a picture of her in her birthday outfit.. I'm sure you can figure out the theme:

Uncle Michael, Aunt Julie and the boys came to visit which was nice for all the cousins to hang out for the party! There were many comments on how well behaved those boys are! (I hope you're proud Julie!!) Delaney really loves Liam (and Colin) but she kept doing things (drawing pictures, making things) and saying "that's for Liam" Cutie pie!

FINALLY today, Monday, Delaney's "real" birthday. We're getting back into the swing of things. Jack was able to work from home today which was nice because we grilled out for dinner then had a nice little ice cream cake for Delaney. Dinner was over by 6:00 PM which is a rarity! Delaney and Adyson were bathed and everyone was in bed by 8:00! NICE.. whew.. well, I'm sure you're getting tired of reading and I'm getting tired of writing and inserting photos. SO, until next time "Friend". :-)
